This week’s random age grouper is Matthew Rose, an athlete and coach from Atlanta, Georgia who had multiple random encounters with the slowtwitch editor-in-chief during this year’s Kona week.
Andrea MacIntosh is a Canadian athlete who did Ironman New Zealand this year, but will mostly focus on XTERRA events in 2012. She is our randomly selected age grouper this week.
Eneko Llanos and Leanda Cave talk about what their wins at Ford Ironman Arizona meant to them: Llanos broke 8 hours, Cave won her first Ironman, broke 9 hours and ran sub-3 hours.

Emma-Kate Lidbury of Oxford, England had a breakthrough year in 2011 with wins at 70.3 races in Mallorca, UK, and Augusta. Her introduction to the sport came on a 2005 assignment for the Oxford Mail and Times – and she’s still a working journalist!
